Month of March

The month of March is about to end. Which means summer vacation is already starting here in the Philippines. It is a time where students unwind and are having a great time, taking some summer job, others visiting some places and relatives.

As for us, the three of us (hubby, me and daughter) are going to the capital city of the Philippines. My daughter is so excited to visit Manila again because she does not remember the place anymore when we went there sometime in 2005. Actually, in 2005, we went there to have my hubby take the MIR (image resonance something). So it was not vacation. But for now it is!

We hope we will enjoy. As for now, need to study first for my final examination tomorrow. Have a great weekend to everyone!

As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food. Cover food with a paper towel instead. Just A Week Away

Poor Girl

Poor girl. As I surf the net, I saw this news at Yahoo :

MANILA, Philippines - A 10-year-old girl was decapitated by a crocodile in a Philippine lake after the creature knocked over her canoe, police said Wednesday.

The girl and a classmate were on their way Saturday to their floating school on Agusan del Sur province's Mihaba Lake when the 23-foot- (7-meter-) long crocodile bumped the boat, causing it to capsize, said Bunawan town police officer Melchor Danuco.

Rescuers found the girl's headless body floating on the lake on Tuesday, he said.

The classmate was rescued by a man escorting the pair in another boat, said Roel Hipulan, head of the private group that runs the school in remote Bunawan town.

"It's a monster crocodile," Hipulan said, adding that he had seen the creature. He said salt water crocodiles, some bigger than a bus, are known to inhabit the lake, though attacks are rare.

But the lake's waters have been swollen for the past several months, causing fish to scatter to others parts. With little to feed on, the crocodiles have become aggressive, he said.

The crocodile attack has prompted the temporary closure of the school and the evacuation of about 100 residents of houses on stilts on the lake, Hipulan added.

I could not picture nor imagine the dilemma of this girl, drag by a 23 foot crocodile, her struggle to live, her loss of hope and fear of death. I hope that the authorities will make actions not to let anybody go near the lake especially unsupervised children.

I am Late

I left home at 7:00 am to meet my 7:30 schedule. I arrived at 7:20 at my workplace, but I was so dismay because the parking lot is so full! I could not find where I could park our car. Kept on circling and circling until one vehicle left and so I am glad I finally park. Whew! Well, I am late because I was able to punch in at 7:41 am. Grrrrrhhhhh! I will be early next time maybe I could wake up at around 6:00 am and hit the road at 6:45am. I hope so

It's a Rainy Thursday!

When I went out this morning, it was raining! I feel like going back to bed and sleep. Now I am at work and at the same time blogging, gonna hop afterwards.

My Final Examination is fast approaching, meaning, I will be temporarily be inactive in my blogging. No, not this time. It will be on the 23th of March. Gonna burn the night candle. As what one professor said, when you are in your first year, you think you know everything. In your second year, you are already doubtful. Now, you are in your third year, you are confused. We do not enumerate our mistakes, achievements, goal and dreams, especially boasting it to others. Instead, life I believe is what we make it. We decided or chose the path we are in right now. Maybe acceptable to others but for some, not. That is why in life there's no such thing as a right or wrong answer. We may start a wrong path but we usually find our way out. Challenges makes us strong, makes us wiser to continue life. That is why they say, experience in life is the best teacher. For we sometimes learn either the easy way or the hard way. But one thing for sure, Life is a gift from above.

I am so sleepy today. So lazy! I want to take an off for work but I can't because at this time, I need to post a lot of reports. Moreover, I was absent last Friday because my little darling got sick. So I have to force myself to go to work this morning. It is pass 2 pm now and I have not taken my lunch. Why? I just slept during lunch break. Hehehehehehe! A small asteroid buzzed by Earth Monday, though only real astronomy geeks in the Pacific would have noticed.

The rock, estimated to be no more than 200 feet wide, zoomed past our planet at an altitude of 40,000 miles at 1:44 p.m. universal time — or 8:44 EST.

Dubbed 2009 DD45, it was discovered only on Friday by Australian astronomers.

Forty thousand miles may sound like a lot, but it's only about one-seventh of the way to the moon, and less than twice as far out as many telecommunications satellites.

Had 2009 DD45 hit the Earth, it would have exploded on or near the surface with the force of a large nuclear blast — not very reassuring when you consider humanity had only about three days' notice.

According to the Australian news Web site Crikey, the asteroid is likely to be drawn in by Earth's gravity, meaning it may return for many more near misses in the future.

Scary right? But I believe Earth will not be destroyed by asteroids. I know GOD will not permit it to happen.
