Maicel's Survey

Children are preicious gift from above. That is why, as parents, we will do our very best to give nothing but the best to our respective child or children. One of those best that we could give to them is education. Education is of vital need because it is where we learn a lot of things to endure and to succeed, to earn knowledge. It is one of the best gift or inheritance that we could give to a child, to which, no one or thing can ever take that away from them for as long as they live.

Maicel, one of my blog friends tagged me this . She wanted to start . . . rather, her dream was to established a school for toddlers. I can see, she has a passion for sharing her thoughts to young ones. And I do believe, she wanted to build a good foundation to every child and to be a part of their lives. Or shall I say, to be a medium to success to every child she teach. Check ba? She came up to this survey to broaden her perspective in putting up a school. Well, all the moms out there, why not take this survey question to share your thoughts to Maicel.

So girl! Here's my thought . . .

::START::RULES:

1. Add your blog to the list. If you're keeping multiple blogs, it'll be fine if you add them all up and just post your answers in one of those blogs.

2. IMPORTANT: kindly get back to me [MAICEL] so i will be able to visit your sites, read your answers and include you in the master list.

3. Please do copy from Start to End.

4. You may tag as many online friends as you please.

Copy this Participants List:
Simple Delights / Motherhood in a Nutshell / 3 for 100 / All About Me / Your blog here

  • Do you have kids? yes*
  • How old is your child / children? 4 years old*
  • What do you think is the ideal age for the kids to be sent to school? depends upon the child's development*
  • Would you consider sending your 3-year-old toddler to school? yes.
  • Explain your reasons. I want my daughter to explore, to socialize with other kids her age and to be able to develop friendship at a young age. To learn new things with classmates and to interact with others aside from the people she's with at home. My daughter started school at the age of 2 year and 6-month. On the first day of school, she was wearing a disposable diapers but after 2 weeks she requested me not to let her wear one because she told me that her other classmates no longer wear diapers and that she already know how to use the bathroom or tell her teacher that she wants to use the bathroom. Actually, the teachers also trained them bathroom manners at their first day. She had learned so much in school that amazes me sometimes. Now, she's in kindergarten I and already knows how to add and subtract numbers on her own.

Thoughts, thoughts, thoughts

I was so frustrated with the examination given to us last night in Taxation. There are 4 roman numeral numbers but each contains atleast 4 sub questions and the others has 12 sub-questions, to my dismay most of those are definition of terms, grrrrhhhhh! Honestly, I am not good at memorizing.

Whew, atleast I was able to answer most of the items given but I don't know if it was correct. TOINK! Well, I will be able to know whether I pass or not if the results will come out. :-SS

So much for that.

I am free today, I don't have a class nor an examination because our professor for today is really busy due to the oral argument before the Philippine Supreme Court. He's one of those lawyers who went to argue for the non-validity of the Memoradum of Agreement (although not yet signed) between the Phillippine Government and the Bangsa Moro placing some places under the Autonomous Region or to be a part of the ancestral domain of Bangsa Moro, to which most of the people even the mayor of our place is against it.

Now, I can spend sometime with my husband and daughter, uhhhm, maybe we can dine out! yapeeeee! Nice idea isn't it?

Hmmmmm ..........

Hmmmmm.

Another bad week for me. The C-130, a military government owned 4 engine plane, just crushed the other day at the Davao Gulf with 600 feet in depth. Witnesses stated that there was explosion occured just before the crush. Rescue teams continue to do their respective task and VFAs also gave assistance just to reach the site and trying and hoping to find survivors or even just bodies of the people in it. Reports of last night stated that rescue team found some fragments of things or debris of the plane and some body parts of human. So sad. Plus the war in Lanao and some parts of Mindanao. Leaving innocent people homeless and lost of loved ones. Our situation keep worsening.

Link to the news of crushed plane : C130

This morning, Ana gave a news link from IZEA that PPP's going to review and screen all blogs because advertisers are not happy to the output of some bloggers. I am worried, I have just joined PPP and if my blog will not pass . . . . well . . . I will just charge it to experience. Or maybe create another better blog. What can you say, Ana? Jo-join ka?

See how bad my week is? I hope a new horizon will set in next week. Gonna go now, need to read for my 5:30 p.m midterm examination.

The Pay Per Post - Great Opportunity

Hey, you bloggers who are not yet members of Pay per post (PPP) come and join in.

I was invited by Ana Gore to join PPP. She told me that just by writing my thoughts I can earn and she told me that she's already earning and funds are being transferred through Pay Pal.

So I created this blog and after a month I registered but was rejected. toink! After 5 days from the date of rejection I tried to resubmit my blog again and walla! I was approved on August 19, 2008. Yapeeee! To my excitement I posted
"I made it".

Now, I am trying to grab opportunities. I hope I can grab some tomorrow. Aha!

This company (PPP), basically links bloggers to advertisers. The requirements are : 1) create a blog; 2) write just about anything original or original composition about anything under the sun and beyond, but ofcourse excluding illicit ones; 3) the blog created must be atleast 30-day old. Then register the blog to PPP wait for blog approval and if approve grab opportunities to earn. PPP will offer a list of advertiser and by just grabbing and writing such you will earn cash. See that's simple.

Here's what PPP said:

"No worries, it's not too complicated. Simply tell your friend about PayPerPost by posting one of these badges on your site. The magic all happens when your friend is creating an account. You will get paid $15.00 once the referees first blog posting is reviewed, approved and then finally accepted 30 days later. This means they need to go all the way through the process in order for it to be a legit referral. If they do it right and are accepted we will hook you up. There is no limit to the number of people you can refer so long as we don't see any fishy business with your account."

So, if you are interested, just click on the Pay Per Post Badge above or at the right side of my blog.

Keep blogging!

FEELINGS

I have been busy these past few days due to my midterm examination and at the same time a little worried because of the situation here in Mindanao. I only hope this situation will not turn to worse because I fear not for myself but for my 4 year old daughter.

The people here in Zamboanga City are starting to panic due to the happenings in Iligan, Lanao, Basilan, Cotabato and other places which were attacked by the MILF. Another factor adding to the distress of some Zamboangenos are the text mongering spreading stating that a lot of rebels are moving in to attack our City. Whew! I hope this will end immediately.

Anyway, just to set off some stress I grab this tag given to me by Tet (Bits and Pieces). Thanks girl!

Gonna start now . . . .

I Miss My Father

I miss my father vey much. He passed away more than five years ago. He passed away just 5 months after escorting me and handed me to my husband during my wedding. He passed away without even watching and knowing his first granddaughter Wyne (my daughter). I miss his cooking, I miss hugging him, I miss teasing him, I miss everything about him. I think I will never get over this feeling for as long as I live unless he wll be raised up and I do hope that my family and I gonna welcome him back in the future resurrection.

I usually envy those persons whose fathers are still alive. If my father is alive, I should have brought him to the places he wants to go, such as Davao, Manila, Bohol, Cebu, Palawan, Iloilo, and to his homeplace, Maasin Southern Leyte, ofcourse together with his only love, my mother.

My advice for those whose fathers are still aive: make the most of your time, spending quality time with them, love them and tell them they are special and so loved. Let them feel worthy. Time is so short, we may never know when death strike. This words also holds true to our respective mothers and to all persons whom we love.

My Bad Experience

I have had a bad experience in 2005, no, we as a family. My daughter was only 1 year and 5 months then. This is what had happened . . .

Sometime in May 2005, my husband complained of a headache and felt dizzy. I brought him to the hospital for a check-up since his headache lasted for 5 hours. The doctor on duty won't liked to release him and needs to be confine due to high blood pressure and fever. But my husband insisted that he want to go home. The doctor just prescribe him some medicine and requested us to sign a waiver. I was so worried. And when we arrived home, I kept on asking him to follow the doctor's advise. And at last he listened after 2 hours. He continued to complain of his headache and dizziness and his feet are starting to lose strength.

I brought him back to the hospital where he had his check up requested for confinement, however, no room was available. I brought him to another hospital and was glad that there was available room. Another doctor attended him as requested by us. After a series of laboratory tests, it was found out that his potassium was so low and needs to boost up.

Family and friends came by to visit and encourage us.

The doctor came in and told me that after 24 hours he may be released in the event his potassium will be normal.

After 24 hours, his potassium did raised but his leg continued to lose strength. Until he has not moved at all. He can't even open his eyes, nor swallow his saliva. He was as if asleep yet not moving at all. He is in the state of coma. The doctor who attended him, don't even understand what my husband sickness was. He concluded that maybe my husband had a stroke. He referred us to a neurologist. The neurologist recommended that he must undergone a CT scan to which we acknowledged. The results were good, no sign of damage but then he had celebral incepalitis, a certain type of virus has invaded his brain stem or the control system of movement of his brain was infected, which explains his inactivity. The neuro further recommend for a spinal fluid test, a process to test the kind of virus he had. We sent his sample via air to Makati Medical Center because in our place no hospital had conducted such test. The result were all negative for Herpes Zoaster, Measles and .... oh, I forgot the other deadly virus. The conclusion of the neuro was that an ordinary virus that causes cough or flu had entered into his brain stem. And there will be two results: either he will recover 70-100% or be a vegetable for life. I really cried so hard in the bathroom really prayed for strenght for my husband and for my daughter. She (neuro) gave an anti viral medicine and after days of inactivity, to my relief, he started to show progress. He was discharged from the hospital after a couple of days, but he cannot control his movement, he can be compared to a baby who doesn't know how to control his head, doesn't know how to walk and write. When he started to talk again, the first question I asked him, what is square root of 25 and the integral of X squared. To which he answered correctly though with difficulty.

He had an everyday therapy for one whole month. He continued to show progress. He started to learn how to write ABCs and numbers. Good that he's memory stayed intact, he is still intelligent, hehehehe. After a month, he had a follow up check-up with the neuro and I was so amazed that he can already walk and answered all the questions perfectly. The neuro further recommend for a MRI to which he undergone in Chinese General Hospital.

Looking back, I never imagine now seeing him restored to good health, that we were able to face and fight all those obstacles. I am so thankful to our CREATOR who had been there to guide and support us and for blessing us along the way. Also to the support of our respective families and relatives, friends, brothers and sisters in faith ( for their prayers and encouragement), to his therapist, Gem, to his neurologist and other people who one way or the other had played the role for my husband's rapid recuperation.

It still pained me whenever I remember that tragedy and still brought tears when I tell it to other people, but it had helped me build a better relationship with GOD and molded me to be a better wife and mother.

It also gave me a lesson to really show love to the persons whom you love and let them feel special while they are around.

Why oh why

I have read an article that features "WHY" being the most simple question yet very difficult to answer. Its really true! Just imagine with all the questions that a child ask to his or her parents, with the never ending WHYs. We parents, usually ran out of answers and finally surrenders by saying, "I don't know" or we change the topic or do things to change the attention of our children. But these wont help the child. Isn't it? As for me, I usually say, "Oh, I will research on that", or sometimes by saying, I don't know. hehehehe

Even us, adults, when we experience hardships or difficulties in our lives we usually wonder Why we are in it or why we are a part of it or why it happened to us. Why do people don't understand what we are into. Why did our loved one left us or why they passed away. We always ask the never ending "Why" too.

A close friend of mine even wrote a poem comparing life to a labyrinth, that is full of doors and full of puzzles. We don't know how, when and why it happens.

On my part, I do believe that we sometimes experience fortuitous events or unforeseen occurrences or we are at the wrong place and at the wrong time, why we experience many challenges and difficulties along our way. Could be also that due to our imperfection, we do things which later results to a not so good situation and regrets or crying sets in. So many factors are involve but never blame GOD for such occurrence for we all know HE LOVED US SO MUCH. HE will never do things that will hurt us.

Ouch, It Hurts!

Recently, my friend forwarded me an email containing the following:

TWO TRUE STORIES ABOUT RACISM

1) I'm sure many of you watched the recent taping of the Oprah Winfrey Show where her guest was Tommy Hilfiger. On the show, she asked him if the statements about race he was accused of saying were true. Statements like"..."If I'd known African-Americans, Hispanics, Jewish and Asians would buy my clothes, I WOULD NOT have made them so nice. I wish these people would *NOT* buy my clothes, as they are made for upper class white people." His answer to Oprah was a simple "YES". Where after she immediately asked him to leave her show.

2) Scene took place on a British Airways flight between Johannesburg and London . A White woman, about 50 years old, was seated next to a black man.Obviously disturbed by this, she called the air Hostess. "Madam, what is the matter," the hostess asked. "You obviously do not see it then?" she responded. "You placed me next to a black man. I do not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group. Give me an alternative seat." "Be calm please," the hostess replied. "Almost all the places on this Flight is taken. I will go to see if another place is available." The Hostess went away and t hen came back a few minutes later. "Madam, Just as I thought, there are no other available seats in the economy class. I spoke to the captain and he info rmed me that there is a seat in the business class. All the same, we still have one place in the first class." Before the woman could say anything, the hostess continued: "It is not Usual for ou company to permit someone from the economy class to sit in the first class. However, given the circumstances, the captain feels that it would be scandalous to make someone sit next to someone so disgusting." She turned to the black guy, and said, "Therefore, Sir, if you would like to, please collect your hand luggage, a seat awaits you in first class." At that moment, the other passengers who were shocked by what they had just witnessed stood up and applauded.

Well, racial discrimination is still very rampant despite this modern world, even people and government are very supportive to human rights but then the other group just wont take it and even despise others. Maybe, they forgot that all races born naked and all races have literally red blood regardless of status.
